Building Tips #2 Interior Design

Now you know how to make a good-looking house from the outside you need to know how to make it look good on the inside. Here are few tips:

Colour Schemes

When making a house it is important to notice what colours you are using. You can them use them on the inside as carpets or walls. Having a red wool house and putting a yellow and blue floor on it may look good but the colours will probably clash:

See what I mean?!
The reason for this is:
1. The house looks awful! The windows are OK, but it's just made out of wool and the doors don't suit it. Urggh!
2.The colours don't work together. The blue and yellow on the floor stand out too much and the red wool just doesn't suit the colour a house should be. Also the pressure plates are wooden so there are too many colours.
3.The designer of the build has not thought at all. He just made it thinking it would be good.

A good floor should be made out of two or three colours and have a nice repetitive feel to them. The colours should work together nicely and should not stand out like a sore thumb! Here are some floors made with just planks:
Much better!

Furniture

Good furniture should be simple and effective. It should also be made out of one or two blocks otherwise it becomes messy. also if a room has too much furniture it will feel and look cramped which is not good. Here are some examples of some furniture and rooms.
